Their Wenatchee office opened in 2014 under the Principal-in-Charge, Adam Miller. They work on a multitude of different projects ranging from sewer, water, storm, fish hatchery, and transportation. Their work includes planning, funding assistance, engineering analysis, construction document development and construction management for all types of projects. They are looking for an entry-level civil engineering student to assist the office on our engineering projects. They currently have four PEs and one EIT in the office, with a drafter and another PE on the way. With a small office, young engineers have the opportunity to work on many of the various projects that we have. The Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure (NHERI) community invites undergraduates to apply for the 2020 NSF-funded NHERI Research Experiences for Undergraduates (NHERI REU) Summer Program.
Currently enrolled undergraduate students interested in mitigating the effects of natural hazards are invited to apply online at https://www.designsafe-ci.org/learning-center/reu/ . Undergraduates with an interest in civil engineering, environmental engineering, architecture, geology, computer science, computer
programming, simulation, and other related fields will greatly benefit from this research opportunity. Students will spend ten weeks working with a faculty mentor and other REU students on a research-based project at one of ten NHERI research facilities around the country.

As part of the District’s Department of Transportation (Washington D.C.) (DDOT) cooperative agreement with the
Howard University Transportation Research Center (HUTRC), DDOT engages full-time students as interns from
universities in the DC Metropolitan Area and all over the country to promote the advancement of engineering and
policy research. HUTRC recruits the interns and manages the program on DDOT’s behalf. In 2020, the DDOT
Internship Summer Program will start around June 1st and run for 10 weeks.
